Our lives began in motion - separately.
Long before we were a couple, we were independent travelers, each following our own curiosities through different cultures and inspirational
destinations. Those early years shaped how we see the world and helped us build meaningful connections across the globe.
Over a decade ago, travel first brought us into each other’s lives as friends.
What connected us then - and still does now - was a shared belief that the best journeys are defined by people, perspective, and presence,
rather than plans alone. When we chose each other, travel didn’t stop. It evolved.
Our relationship unfolded over two years of long distance and what we called “travel dating,” meeting across borders, cities, and time zones. Between the two of us, we feel we each have earned a masters degree in travel planning!
Now married (as of last September, in Prague), we lead a husband-and-wife travel company
for those who value insight and real experience over algorithms and checklists.
Every journey we design is bespoke, intentional, and shaped by places we know firsthand.

At Create My Travel Journey, we blend our love for travel with personalized travel itineraries and specialized concierge service. Our company was created out of a genuine love for travel, thoughtful planning, and helping others turn dream trips into unforgettable experiences.
As a passionate husband and wife team, we aim to inspire others to explore the world by crafting uniquely tailored itineraries that resonate with your travel desires and budget.
Our approach is hands-on and tailored — we take the time to truly understand each traveler’s interests, pace, and priorities, and then design a journey that feels effortless and meaningful.
Mr. Denis Houdek
Denis Houdek’s life has been defined by exploration. What began in 2013 as a three-month move from the Czech Republic to Canada turned into a decade of adventure across continents, countries, and trails—living in five different countries in his twenties and visiting over forty more. He has crossed entire countries on foot, navigated remote landscapes, and sought experiences that go beyond the typical itinerary, balancing work and studies while never letting go of his passion for discovery.
Travel is not just a priority for Denis—it is an addiction. From New Zealand’s rugged mountains to Australia’s vast coasts, Scotland’s highlands, and beyond, every journey is a chance to immerse fully in culture, nature, and local life. Together with his wife, he now channels this lifelong pursuit into their husband-and-wife travel company, crafting bespoke, luxury adventures for clients who value depth, authenticity, and the kind of journeys that leave lasting memories. Every experience is designed with insight, intention, and the refined sensibility of someone who has lived—and loved—travel in its purest form.
Mrs. Rose Houdek
With a background as a Production and Travel Coordinator, Supervisor, and Manager, Rose has planned journeys for high-profile cast and crew members with precision and care. From hotels, dining experiences, spa days, and red-eye flights to parties—and even her own wedding this past year (with a little help from her husband, of course)—if it needed to be booked or arranged, Rose made it happen. Her experience coordinating travel for work has given her a deep understanding of industry standards and rates, along with the expertise to create and manage seamless, detail-driven itineraries.
Travel, however, has always been more than a job requirement for Rose—it is a true passion. She is endlessly curious about the world and deeply inspired by new cultures, cuisines, landscapes, and ways of life. Every chance she had, she turned into an adventure, seeking out new countries and meaningful experiences that allowed her to connect more deeply with the places she visited.
By blending her professional coordination expertise with her personal love of exploration and creativity, planning travel for others became a natural and exciting path. Rose approaches every trip with the same care and enthusiasm she brings to her own travels, ensuring each journey is thoughtfully designed, stress-free, and unforgettable. Her passion for planning and discovering the world shines through in every itinerary, helping clients make lasting memories wherever they go.
